ALLEGED GAMBLING
TRADES HALL TENANT IN COURT. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 27. Officials of the Trades Hall were surprised recently to find that the police had suspicions about the bona tides of Henry Francis Mase, one of their tenants. Mase appeared to-day before Mr Lawry, S.M., charged with using room 9 of the Trades Hall as a common gaming house on October 1 and was also charged with establishing a scheme by which prizes were gained by chance. Defendant was remanded until November 3,
