LABOUR DAY MATCHES. (From Our Correspondent.) The Mataura Defence Rifle Club spent Labour Day at the new range, when matches at 300, 500 and 600 yards in connection with the Territorial Cup were fired. The day was fine but a tricky wind made shooting a trifle awkward. The results of the shooting were as follows : No. 1 match, Territorial Cup, seven shots at 300 yards and 500 yards.

The grand totals are as follows, the points being given in parenthesis:—J. A. Munro 68 (5), A. O. Ross 65 (4), E. Amos 64 (3), R. C. Barclay 63 (2), W. McLeod 61 (1), B. V. Ross 61, N. Wright 60, C. W. Goodwin 59, E. A. Downes 57, T. G. Giller 56, A. M. Robertson 56, A. A. Wright 56, A. L. Ross 54, F. Munro, H. W. Oliver 50, J. Henderson 45. No 2 match, Territorial Cup, 10 shots at
