GERMANS SHOT
CLASH WITH FRENCH SOLDIERS. WITNESSES REFUSE TO TESTIFY. Paris, October 14. Lieutenant Rouzier, the killer of the Germans at Germersheim, has been provisionally released. Eleven witnesses left Germersheim to avoid testifying against the Germans. —A. & N.Z. Two French soldiers at Germersheim, Bavaria, quarrelled with two German civilians on September 27. They warned the public to stand back and shot the Germans dead. French gendarmerie arrested the two soldiers.
