NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. NORTH ISLAND BRANCH. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 16. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sheepbreeders’ Association for the North Island was held this morning. The annual report recorded an increase in the number of Southdown flocks, no fewer than 38 being registered, the total number of such flocks in the book now being 310. Breeders were urged to improve their flocks so as to improve the fleece and meat. The balance sheet disclosed a credit of £276 and an excess of assets over liabilities of over £5OO. * The officers elected were: President, Mr Stuckey (Dannevirke) ; vice-president, Mr Knight (Feilding). Council (three vacancies), Messrs Marshall (Marton), Buick (Masterton), and Rayner (Masterton).
