EXIT WEMBLEY
A PRIVATE SALE. London, June 15. The freehold site of Wembley Exhibition, 132 acres, together with practically all the buildings of the Exhibition, including the stadium, was submitted at auction in London and withdrawn at £315,000. Mr. Thomas states that Wembley has been sold privately, without disclosing the purchaser or price.—A. and N.Z. PRICE £500,000. (Rec. 9.25 p.m.) London, June 15. The Daily Express states that Wembley was sold privately to a racing millionaire for £500,000.—A. & N.Z.
