A RASH ACT
YOUNG MAN BEFORE COURT. (Per United Press Association.) Masterton, June 14. Charles lan Laing, a young man aged 26, who admitted having consumed more rum than he could accommodate, was to-day sentenced on two charges to a month with hard labour. Laing, when requested by the proprietor of a restaurant to refrain from obscene language, struck the proprietor on the head and upset two tables which were heavily laden with crockery and equipment.
