CABINET MINISTERS MOVE. CONFERENCE WITH MINE-OWNERS. (Rec. 8.35 a.m.) London, June 15. The Daily Mail political correspondent says that Sir Arthur Steel-Maitland and other Cabinet Ministers met the mineowners with the object of securing undertakings that the pits would be reopened on existing wages if the men worked eight Jiours. —Sun. MINERS’ FEDERATION, APPEAL FOR HELP. (Rec. 8.35 pjn.) London, June 14. The Miners’ Federation has officially appealed to all trade unions for financial assistance, and is asking the transport unions to refuse to handle coal.—A. & N.Z.
