KAPUKA SOUTH, About five householders were present and Mr J. E. Hansen presided. The roll number for the school is 25, and the average attendance for the year was 17. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £lO Ils sd. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs J. E. Hansen (chairman), Mrs Hansen (secretary), Mrs Waghorn, Mr Jordan, and Mr Harris. The balance sheet was not adopted in the absence of the retiring chairman Mr J. Adams. ARTHUR’S POINT, About 6 householders were present and Mr J. McMullan jnr. presided. The roll number for the school is 14 and the average attendance for the year was 13. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £9 9s 7d. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs J. M. McMullan jnr (chairman and secretary), C. McDonald, William Gordon, William Sanders and T. PowelL LONG BUSH. Only a few householders were present and Mr Louis Evans presided. The roll number for the school is 23 and the average attendance for the year was 20.9. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £5 Is lOd. Owing to the small attendance no committee was formed. FERNDALE. A good number of householders were present and Mr F. W. Hamill presided. The roll number for the school is 23 and the average attendance for the year was 19.4. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £9. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs F. W. Hamill (chairman), H. Horner (secretary), J. G Scott, J. Larson, J. Kemp. The incoming committee promises to be a progressive body and mapped out a programme of improvements for the coming year.
