ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND BAND.
To the Editor.
Sir, —When it was proposed to bring the Argyll and Sutherland Band to Invercargill an appeal was made to the Rotary Club to support the proposal and assist in making the concert a success. It was decided that Rotarians should attend in a body and be responsible for a block of seats. These seats have been allotted to Rotarians and others. It now appears that the booking has exceeded anticipations and there is a likelihood that some people who have not heard the band will be deprived of availing themselves of the privilege to-night. My object in writing this letter is to request Rotarians who have, already heard the band to give up their seats to those who have not been so fortunate. Applications, if made to me before noon to-day will be attended to and transfers arranged. Will Rotarians please ring me up.—l am, etc., W. MACALISTER, President.
