THE PERVERSE FRANC
STILL AT LOW LEVEL. AMERICAN DEBT SETTLEMENT HAS LITTLE EFFECT. New York, April 30. Despite the agreement reached at Washington for the funding of the French debt, the franc continued to-day to hover around the record low level, dealings being made at 3.28 cents, while a sympathetic reaction carried the Belgian franc down to a new minimum price for the year, 3.36. French bonds, however, have reflected a favourable response to the settlement. —Reuter.
