The highest mountain in North America is Mount McKinley, in Alaska, 20,464 ft. high Next comes Mount Foraker, just 20.000 ft. Dr. Joseph Wright, who' has retired as a professor of languages at Oxford, taught himself to read at 15 years, and never had an hour’s schooling.
