VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) OTTAWA, May 6 The Rev. Clayton (founder of Toe. H.) and Padre Clonard are sailing by the Niagara, and will spend a fortnight in New Zealand, after which they will go to Australia. Toe. H. is a British social organisation. In 1915 there was established in Pope ringhe, the well-known British billet and rest town in the Ypres area, a church institute know as Talbot House, in memory of a fallen officer, G, W. L. Talbot, son of the Bishop of Winchester. It was used as a club and rest centre by men returned from the trenches. Soon the name was universally known as Toe. H., from the British Expeditionary Force telegraphic abbreviation of Talbot House. After the war the Toe. H. Association was formed, and a fellowship of many thousands of young men was created, pledged to help one another and to study speial, religious, and civic conditions. Toe. H. promotes clubs and hostels, and there are three London centres, one in Manchester, and over seventy branches. In 1921 money was provided to found three memorial chaplaincies. Headquarters are at 123 St. George’s Square, London* S.W. The Cavendish Club is incorporated with Toe. H.
