OPIUM TRAFFIC
CONFERENCE SAVED FROM SHIPWRECK. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) GENEVA, January 24. (Received January 25, 7.5 p.m.). The second Opium Conference was temporarily saved from shipwreck at the eleventh hour by a suggestion from the Finnish delegation, which was unanimously adopted, that a plenary sitting be held to establishes a joint committee of 16 members of both conferences to examine the American and other proposals recently discussed. It will report at an early moment.
