FATHER MARLOWS DEATH.
To the Editor. Sir, —Re the inquest on the fatal accident to the late Rev. Father Marlow, who was killed on Saturday evening, 17th inst., on returning to town from Wrey’s Bush, by being run over by a motor car, why have the details not been published? If not forthcoming to-morrow a telegram will be sent to the Minister of Justice insisting in the'public interest, that all details be published of fatal accidents by motor or other vehicles on the roads of the Dominion, and that nothing be kept back; otherwise the roads may, and likely will, always be a danger to the travelling public, who now that they have to part pay for their upkeep have the right to insist on full publicity on all inquests without fear or favour. —I am, etc., WILLIAM HANDYSIDE. Invercargill, January 23. [The inquest is to be held at 10.30 o’clock this morning.—Ed. S.T.]
