EARLY STRIKE THREATENING. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, January 22. (Received January 23, 5.5 p.m.) Some 20,000 coal-miners of Derbyshire are threatening an early strike, while miners throughout the country are signifying their discontent with the working of the National Wages Agreement. The executive of the Miners’ Federation, after a prolonged discussion, invited districts to forward proposals upon which the Executive will report to the National Delegates’ Conference on February 26.
