THE WELLINGTON REGATTA. WELLINGTON, January 22. The principal Anniversary Day event, apart from the races, was the regatta, of which there were many spectators. The first-class yacht race was won by Wanderer, which, with a handicap of lOmin, beat Rona by six minutes. Marangi was third and Wairere fourth. Wairere (16min) beat Rona (Imin) by 44oec in the General Handicap.
