PIRATE STRONGHOLD
RAIDED BY CHINESE TROOPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright). (Sun Cable.) PEKIN, January 21. A pirate stronghold at Bias Bay (near Hongkong) was raided and captured by Chinese troops in consequence of British representations following the act of piracy on the steamer Hongwha. The British naval representative witnesssed the operations by invitation. One pirate was killed and seventeen captured. No British shins assisted, but some lay six miles away, and the Chinese were able to count on their assistance if required.
