Wheatley, late Minister of Health, epeaking at Glasgow, said • he was afraid that the Baldwin Government’s policy was making direct for war against Russia. He declared that if an attempt was made to launch war against Russia he would devote his life to an appeal to the British workers not only not to join in fighting, but to utilise the opportunity to attack British Capitalism. He warned the Labourites that the Free Trade and Protection conflict was merely between rival sections of the Capitalists, and it did not vitally affect the workers.
