Maunganui, comprises 54 bags for Invercargill. It arrived at Wellington yesterday, and the letter portion should reach Invercargill to-night. THURSDAY, JANUARY 1. Mails for Australian States, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Egypt, South Africa, etc., close at C.P.O. on Thursday, January 1, at 5.25 ajn, for despatch by sa. Maheno from Wellington to Sydney. Mails for Fiji, Tonga and Samoa close at C.P.O. on Thursday, January 1, at 5.25 a.m., for despatch by sa. Tofua from Auckland. MONDAY, JANUARY 5. Mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, Central America, West Indies, also Rarotonga and Tahiti, close at C.P.O. on Monday, January 5, at 5.25 a.m., for despatch by sa.
