HARD LUCK AT RACES
LADY LOSES A TICKET. A lady at the Gisborne races the other day, who had a totalisator ticket on a race yielding a dividend of over £5O, found on going to collect her winnings that she had lost the ticket. She immediately reported her loss to the racing authorities, but inquiry at the totalisator showed that all the tickets sold had been presented, and the money had been paid out.
