LIQUOR ROBBERY
PIRACY ON THE HIGH SEAS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) HALIFAX (Nova Scotia), July 10. (Received July 11, 11 pjn.). Pirates boarded the French steamer Malhouse and stole 500,000 dollars worth of liquor and some cash, according to Captain Ferrins and the crew. The captain declared that the “high jackers” drove the crew below. Manacling the officers, they kept them prisoners for ten days while they unloaded 33,200 cases of liquor into boats. The owners of the Malhouse are investigating the occurrence.
