TAXES IN GERMANY
TRAVELLERS TO PAY. (Sun Special). LONDON, June 20. Having abolished the special permit system, under which Germans wishing to travel abroad had to pay a tax of 500 marks, the German Government, says the Berlin correspondent of the Times, now announces a new regulation, under which passport holders, including foreigners resident in Germany, will only be granted permits enabling them to go abroad on th a production of a certificate from tax-collect-ing officers showing that they have paid their taxes.
