TERRITORIAL CAMPS
PAYMENT FOR ATTENDANCES. The annual camp of the Ist Battalion Southland Regiment, 1924-25, will be held on the racecourse at Wyndham from January 14 to January 21, 1925. On this occasion the camp is to be held in conjunction with the 11th Battery, N.Z.A., who will go under canvas on the same site at the same date. Payment for the six days in camp has been approved by the authorities, at the following rates: — per day. Privates .. 4/-. Corporals .. .. ... .. ... 4/6. Sergeants 5/-. Lieutenants 8/-. Captains .. .. ... .. .. 10/-. Majors .. 12/-. Lieut. Colonels 15/-. Under the new regulations, leave of absence from the camps can only be obtained by application to the Magistrate’s Court.
