RIFLES FOR EVERYONE. (Sun Special.) LONDON, June 24. Mr Austen Chamberlain, who was the principal speaker at the dinner tendered by the Birmingham Rifle Club to the Australian team which will compete at Bisley, said: ‘Tt is my creed that whenever we can mingle a Dominion’s young life with our old traditions and history, we are doing good work for the Empire and the world.” Mr Chamberlain declared that every citizen throughout the Elmpire should learn bow to handle a rifle. Colonel Blacklow, in command of the Australians, said that the team had been greatly impressed by England’s efficiency and thoroughness.
