SPAIN IN MOROCCO
NATIVE TROOPS SUFFER SEVERELY. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MADRID, 6. (Received July 7, 7.5 p.m.) A communique from Morroco mentions that a company of natives, when reconnoitring, encountered a trenchful of khakiclads whom they mistook for comrades, but were really the enemy, who opened a sustained fire. The company was almost decimated. The native troops of the Foreign Legion have lost 400 killed in the recent fighting.
