POLAR FLIGHT
ITALIANS URGE ACTION. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) ROME, July 6. Aviators are urging that Italy should undertake the Polar flight which Captain Amunsden has abandoned. Deputy Locatelli, the noted aviator, has sought permission to do 80. The Government, however, has refused on the ground of expense, but is seriously considering a proposal for the Deputy to use the machines built for Captain Amunsden for the flight from the North of Scotland to Iceland, Greenland, Labrador and Canada.
