The Athens correspondent of the Daily Express says that the death sentences on General Gargaladis and Leonardopulos have been commuted to five years’ imprisonment. Sime 86 officers have been pardoned. The Government is further considering raising the ban on all Royalist newspapers which have been suppressed since the rising.
