line and georgette with shaded pink and mauve French flowers completed a becoming toilet. She carried a bouquet of roses, sweet peas, and carnations. The three maids of honour in attendance were Miss Marjorie Palmer and Misses Constance and Joyce Young. The two former wore a midnight blue taffeta frocks and pink hats trimmed with posies of blue and pink flowers, and carried Victorian bouquets in the Laine colourings. Miss Joyce Youngs frock was of pink taffeta, worn with a pink hat. The bride’s mother, Mrs Charles Howarth, was gowned in grey georgette over charmeuse and grey dyed lace worn with a large picture hat wreathed with ostrich feathers and finished with a silver buckle. About a hundred relatives and guests were present at-the church, and afterwards at the Kelburn Kiosk, where a reception was held. The bride travelled in a navy blue tricoline three-piece suit embroidered in grey and royal blue, and smart French hat of blue with shaded coque feathers. A sealskin and beaver fur wrap was also worn.
