THE HUNDREDTH LOCOMOTIVE. (Per United Press Association.) THAMES, November 20. There was much excitement this morning upon the delivery of the hundredth locomotive built by A. and G. Price, Ltd., for the New Zealand Government. The firm granted the whole of its 200 employees a half-holiday. The engine, which is a 8705, is one of a contract for 20 of a similar design. It made successful trials.
