Bruce discussed with the Chancellor of the Exchequer matters relating to the Pacific Cable Board. It is understood arrangements were arrived at which will ensure better representation of commercial interests on the board appointment. As the elections intervened, some time is likely to elapse before the Bill amending the board’s constitution can be passed.
