WAVE OF CRIME

(Received November 16, 8.10 p.m.) Throughout the country, banditry appears to continue unabated. Two masked robbers seized 20,000 dollars from bank messengers in Kansas City, while three men broke into a bank at Hartsburg (Illinois) and escaped with 77,000 dollars. i Another party by a hold-up captured a pay-roll of 12,000 dollars in Montreal. Three bandits entered the coal company office at Collinsville, seized 14,000 dollars, and escaped. One bandit held up and robbed a bank of 5000 dollars at Taylorsville (Minnesota). A bandit seized a bundle of 700 dollars from the hands of a man leaving a bank. All this is one day’s record.
