DAIRY CONTROL REPRESENTATION.
To the Editor. Sir,—The references of “Cow Cockie” to my letters are as shallow as the nom de plume he assumes is undignified. The Dairy Control Bill has become law and as such opponents and supporters alike must combine for the general good. Exemptions of contracts is no “red herring,” but a stern reality as you yourself have realised by kindly reminding your correspondent of the point. As a representative, Mr Adam Hamilton, in my estimation, through the experience he has gained on the Meat Control Board, would make a capable and trustworthy representative. What is more his experience in this respect must have proved to him that good reforms come gradually and our interests would not be placed in the hands of an idealist. I am, etc., DAIRYMAN.
