SOUTH INVERCARGILL.
To the Editor. Sir, —I noticed in thia morning’s issue of your paper a letter signed by "Elector,” criticising rather severely the first meeting of the new Council at South Invercargill. Reference ia continually made by correspondents through your columns of petty squabbles and disturbances in the administration of the civic affairs of this borough. I would appeal to "Elector” and others who are too ready to criticise, to do the decent thing and bury the hatchet; and thus give the new Mayor and his Council every opportunity of showing their worth. —I am, etc., "FAIR PLAY.*
