rnE BANK FAILURE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) DELHI, April 29. The suspension of the Alliance Bank of Delhi has caused consternation. Thousands of European individuals and firms are affected. 'Die bank’q position was regarded as somewhat shaky for some time. Europeans anticipated Government backing to prevent closing. It is believed that within a few days it will be possible to pay investors fifty per cent, of their deposits but there is no official announcement on this point.
