MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
(Per United Press Association). FINAL MAYORALTY RETURNS. CHRISTCHURCH, April 30. The re-count of votes for the Mayoralty gives the following result: J. A. Flesher 10,606; D. G. Sullivan, M.P., 8207; informal, 402. The majority for Mr Flesher is 2399. The figures announced on the night of the poll gave Mr Flesher a majority of 1917. No additional city council candidates were announced as elected as a result of the count, which was completed on Saturday. On the fourth count, Mr E. J. Howard, M.P., (Labour) was elected to the City Council.
