CUP TIE BATTLE
PERFERVID SPECTATORS. ALL NIGHT VIGIL. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams). LONDON, April 29. The spectators for the Football Cup Final commenced to arrive on Friday night, and were reinforced all night long by a stream of new arrivals. Many travelled a hundred miles. There were weird scenes outside where groups sat round fires attempting to keep warm. The crowd was largely composed of Lancastrians, many fancifully attired. Numbers of ticket-holders and later special ticket-holders’ trains en route to London were stopped and sent back.
