TIDAL WAVES
NIAGARA S EXPERIENCE AT HONOLULU. (Per United Press Association.' AUCKLAND, February 20. Mr Wm. Wallis, of Auckland, a pa senger by the Niagara, states that just before the steamer left Honolulu a series of tidal waves rushed up Waikiki beach The Niagara rose and fell with the tide somewhat alarmingly, but suffered no damage. After the Niagara left Honolulu a wireless was received stating that great damage had been done on the main island, one of the Hawaiian groups, and it was feared there had been loss of life. It was said that the village of Kahalu had been washed completely away.
