NO CURE NO PAY
JUDGMENTS AGAINST THERAPEUTIST. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 5. Mr Widdowson gave judgment for £25 damages and £ll 12/- costs in a case in which Charles H. Gracie, farmer, sued Alfred Lewis, described as a masseur and therapeutist, for the return of a fee of £25 paid in respect of a written guarantee to cure deafness in nine months. Lewis did not defend the action. William Knight, farmer, was also given judgment against Lewis for £3O in respect of a written guarantee to cure varicose veins.
