Mr Fiske and two expert assistants have exhaustively examined the different tyj>es of wireless equipment usable for Jinking up the Pacific Islams with Australia and New Zealand, and for inter-communication between the two Dominions, and they have selected the thermionic valve as being the best, not only lor telegraphic, but also ior telephonic purposes, the latter is a consideration of importance, in view of the fact that the time is rapidly approaching when wireless telephony will be used in Australia and New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
