NOT TO BE TAXED. STATEMENT BY ME MASSEY. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 23. In a brief interview to-day, the Prime Minister informed the Municipal Association Executive that it need not fear taxation of the revenue from municipal trams, gas, electricity, or water supply. Mr Massey refused to make a definite statement as to the taxation of municipal debentures on the same basis ns company stock. He said the "rie\ :;::ces could be expressed when the Bill was before the House. il» did not think the mumcipalties would Imve any grievances when the legislation was complete.
