A contract has been let fnr the erection of a reinforced concrete building in Quay street, Auckland, for the fluddart-Parker Company, Lid. The original plans provide for a six-storied building, hut the Board of Trade have granted a permit for two stories only. It is hoped to proceed with these at once, and to complete the original scheme when conditions allow. The ground floor will be used by the company for their offices and the first floor will be let. The section on w'hich the building is to be erected has a frontage to Quay street of 33ft and a depth of 84ft running to the railway right-of-way at the back.
