ANTI-PROFITEERING BILL. LABOUR AND NATIONALISTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) CAPETOWN, April 29. (Received April 30, 7.30 p.m.) In the Assembly the Government’s AntiProfiteering Bill was read a second time by 62 votes to 40. Both Nationalists and Labourite had moved amendments. The Labourites extricated themselves from the position of voting with the Nationalists, thereby endangering the Government, by seeking to withdraw their amendment. The Nationalists objected to the withdrawal, whereupon the Labourites left the Chamber. The minority consisted solely of Nationalists.
