The watersidera at Townsville have decided to end the go-slow policy and to strike. SYDNEY, December 16. So far only 400 marine engineers are out, A total of 3300 are affected by the dispute. A mass meeting of the Amalgamated Society of engineers decided to, serve all employers with notices demanding increased wages, ENGINEERS HOLDING UP INTERSTATE TRAFFIC. SYDNEY, December 16. Received December 16, 11.10 p.m. The marine engineers’ strike has rendered idle 50,000 tons of shipping. Practically the whole of the inter-State traffic will be at a standstill within the next few days.
