WOOL CONTROL
PREPARING FOR TRANSITION PERIOD. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, November 3. Mr H. W. Forster (Financial Secretary to the War Office) presided at the adjourned wool conference, which unanimously recommended that the Council should include forty-one trade members, twenty-three representing the employers and eighteen the employees, the Council’s functions to include advising concerning the needs of the industry in regard to raw material during the transition period and prepare plans to facilitate the turnover from war to peace conditions, advise the War Office relative to -the purchase and sale of raw wool and other matters connected with control, and deal with any matters referred to the Council by the War Office, the Board of Trade, Ministry of Reconstruction, Board of Control, or any recognised trade or labour association connected with the wool industry.
