Elsewhere cool and changeable conditions ruled. Easterly gales prevailed north of New Plymouth and Napier, and moderate to strong easterly and south-east-erly winds elsewhere. The centre of disturbances is now apparently located about North Cape. Present indications are for south easterly and easterly winds generally, strong to a gale northwards of Farewell Bplt and Kaikourn, and freshening soon elsewhere. Further boisterous weather and heavy nun may be expected in the northern and east coast districts of the North Island, and may extend to Cook strait and the north-east districts of the south, with increasing cloudiness generally. The barometer has a falling tendency.
