FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE
TERMS AGREED UPON. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 5. The decision of the Labour Disputes Committee appointed to deal with the dispute in connection with the strike of chamber hands at Southdown and Westfield freezing works, was announced tonight. The principal points affect the hours and wages. The hours are fixed at 47 per week for chamber hands, and 44 for other hands. The agreement under the provisions of the Act and by consent of the parties becomes an award without reference to the Arbitration Court for a term till three months after peace is declared, not exceeding 2% years.
