TURKS LOSE HEAVILY,

Mr Candler (the war correspondent) says that there has been severe lighting at Kut. The Turks lost heavily in enendcavouring to regain lost ground, and they erected a barricade of corpses against the British bombers.
There was a tierce struggle along the Hai river, and trenches repeatedly changed hands before the Turks were defeated.
