ACCIDENT ON -A DREDGE.
(Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, July 12. 11. IJ. Petersen, employed on the Harbour dredge, this morning had his right leg crushed between a bucket and a cross-beam. The leg was amputated, hut he died in the afternoon. He was a nephew of the late harbourmaster, and leaves a widow and six children.
