AERIAL ACTIVITIES
DEFENCE AGAINST ATS BA IDS NEW DEPARTMENT UNDER LORD FRENCH (By Telegraph—Press .Assn. —Copyright) LONDON, February 15. The Daily Mail states that the Government has approved of a scheme for placing the whole of Britain’s air defences in Viscount French’s hands, except the Admiralty’s seaplanes. Viscount French will create a great central Department at' Whitehall, telephonically connected with coastal stations. From this will be issued warnings to the country. The qir-craft department will also be strengthened.
