EMPIRE TRADE
(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 1L At a meeting of the Council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce a resolution was received from the Associated Chambers of Commerce of Australia to the effect that the present time was opportune to consider the best methods of bringing British manufacturers into closer touch with Australian markets, and generally diverting to Great Britain trade hitherto done with manufacturers outside the Umpire. It was resolved to reply that the Council was alive to the importance of the subject and would do all in its power to give effect to the principle affirmed in the resolution.
